MP3 BIBLE IN HINDI

NLW is in the process of creating an audio Bible in Hindi language in partnership with Channel Media through which people can hear the Word of God in MP3 format. This will also feature a brief study about each book to help readers understand the background. We believe that the MP3 Bible in Hindi will be a treasured tool for frontline church planters to disciple the illiterate masses.

Aim of this project:
India became a free nation in 1947. All these years of freedom did not help overcome the biggest problem India faces especially North India . This problem is illiteracy. Due to the poor economic conditions, most of the people especially in the villages and rural slum areas, remain illiterate. The Gospel has had greater impact on the poor and illiterate than the educated. However, illiteracy has greatly affected the spiritual growth of these Christians as well. With no options to read the Bible except if somebody reads out to them, MP3 Audio Bible will be a great tool for millions of people to hear, learn and subsequently base their life on the solid foundation of the Word.

Furthermore, globalization has made a significant impact upon the masses of urban and middle and upper class communities of India . Life in the urban sector is becoming hectic and people hardly have the time for anything and this includes reading. In such an environment MP3 audio Bible helps to hear the scripture at any time even while traveling, in the work place, kitchen or running about the household chores.

As many changes are currently taking place in India , it is the Word of God alone that can bring change to the millions of people who are searching for the truth. In a world that is so busy MP3 audio Bible comes as a breakthrough providing a great opportunity to both literate and illiterate alike in listening and learning the scripture.

Target Audience:
Our target audience are the millions of Hindi speaking people in India and abroad classified as:
      · Villagers / Illiterates
      · Urban working class
      · Computer/internet users
      · Blind People, etc.

Method of Work:
This work will be completed in four steps:

1. Data Collection
This includes but not limited to collecting vital data like details of each Book (themes, context, historical setting etc.) and compiling them in a comprehensible format.
2. Recording
Once all the required data and fields are compiled, voice recording will commence first with the New Testament and afterwards with the Old Testament.
3. Final Editing and Music
The final editing and adding instrumental music where needed will follow the voice recording.
4. Conversion to MP3 format
Finally it will be converted into MP3 format for distribution!
